IPA - Our Founder

Michael E. Camp

Mr. Camp graduated from Arizona State University with a BS in Engineering. While working at Westinghouse Electric, Mr. Camp furthered his electrical studies when he completed the U.S. Navy’s prescribed curriculum for Submarine “Nuclear Power Plant Operation.”. Mr. Camp finished his educational goals by obtaining a Master’s Degree from the “American Graduate School of International Management ”, specializing in Latin America.

He has held Electrical Engineering and Management positions with two of the world’s largest corporations: Westinghouse and Square D Company. Mr. Camp has 30 years of experience solving international Power and Cooling problems.

Thanks to his parents’ extensive U.S. Military travel in the Latin American region, Mr. Camp speaks fluent Spanish. He has given numerous technical seminars and consulted around the world, extending as far north as Canada and as far south as Australia and New Zealand. He has conducted over one hundred seminars in Spanish-speaking countries and is considered an authority on Latin American Power Quality problems.

As president of the Int’l Power Association, Mr. Camp provides seminars and consulting services on designing Data Centers to ensure total reliability.

Founded in 1991, and based in San Diego, California, the International Power Association (IPA) pioneered the presentation of the most relevant power quality problems, causes and solutions in Latin America. Our approach is to work hand in hand with the

companies whose operations are at risk of losing US $ Millions due to the lack of an infrastructure that meets the highest international standards of availability, reliability and power quality.

Our formula for Power Quality

The IPA teaches (seminars) to its clients to properly understand the problems, causes and most common solutions in the field. Through a complete (diagnosis), our consultants explain in detail the problems or weaknesses in their facilities. With all the information available to evaluate, we help the client make accurate decisions to solve and / or avoid problems.
